Online games to beat stress
We have all had quite a stressful time of it recently, and we are constantly looking for new ways to help us relax. This can be as simple as having a bath or reading a book. But have you thought about playing online games? Playing online games is a healthy way to release stress and free your mind. It can also be a great way to improve mental agility.

There are many benefits of playing online games, but it has one major issue in the workplace: it distracts employees from their work. Gamers usually play long hours in order to beat the game or “complete” it. This can lead to them taking too much time off of work without realizing what they’ve been doing. For gamers to play these online games while still maintaining productivity, they should set a timer that will tell them when it’s time for them to take a break and get back to their work. Make sure you are only playing these games on your lunch break or after work.
Why play games online?
Games provide a means of escape and relaxation for some people. They provide an opportunity for someone to interact with a virtual world that has been created for their enjoyment. Online games have been shown to improve problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and increase emotional intelligence. Games can also be used as tools to educate people about new topics and concepts. There are even games you can win real money on if you are wanting to create a bit of a side income.
Rather than go on consoles which are expensive, and addictive, why not try playing some retro games? My favourite retro game is Pac Rat , obviously inspired by the famous Pac-Man. I love playing Pac-Rat on my phone (even though its still only in the browser which is just perfect – no downloads here!) as you just move the little guy along with your finger. Be warned, its addictive! But, its so much more relaxing than looking on social media.

Should children play games online?
Games are a popular method of learning. We can use them to introduce people to new subjects, teach them about important issues, and provide opportunities to explore different cultures. Education has been using video games to teach skills for the past decade, and now it’s time for children to use these games as a form of education. One of the main benefits of us giving kids these educational online games is that they get children interested in subjects that might seem boring in conventional classrooms.
Check out this fantastic maths-based game, it’s pretty addictive but still helps your child learn. We know that kids are drawn to games because they are more interactive and engaging than learning material on paper. Online games also have an element of competition that make them more appealing for children.

I have been playing Zombie Typing – Its supposed to be an educational kids games but I just can’t help wanting to beat my last score!
You do of course need to ensure you are keeping your children safe online – make sure you set timers for them and ensure that you have a proper parental control on your laptop. Get them to play the games in the same room that you are in. Plays.org is a great option as there are no downloads, all games are played within the browser. And, its free! There are no limits on how long you play, although you should always make sure you have a break.
Playing online games is the new trend that is taking over the world. With the advancement of technology, kids are finding their happiness in virtual worlds. Some kids will be more inclined to stay inside and play video games, while others might opt to go outside and enjoy the sunshine with other kids. However, having a balance between these two activities is good for everyone.
