Visiting Australia
In recent months, many of us have had our vacation plans curtailed by the pandemic. Rather than going away to a sun-scorched paradise or bustling foreign city, we have played it safe with a staycation instead. But as life is just about returning to normal, now is the time to consider distant shores. And in the context of this post, we are thinking of the land of sun, sea, and surfing opportunities aplenty: Australia!

Here are just a few of the reasons to consider an Australian vacation.
#1: The wildlife
Now, you could visit your local zoo to catch a close-up glimpse of the animal kingdom. However, there is nothing like seeing wildlife in their natural habitat. And in Australia, there is much for you to see, with kangaroos, koalas, and emus being just the start. There are all kinds of other weird and wonderful animals to catch your attention, including the Laughing Kookaburra, the Tasmanian Devil, and the other unique creatures that are written about in the linked article. You are unlikely to find these in your local zoo so Australia is your best chance of getting a look at these unique animals.
2: The areas of natural beauty
Australia is one of the most beautiful places in the world as the country has a diverse range of locations and landscapes for you to gaze at and explore. The rich, red sands of the Outback, the underwater kingdoms of The Great Barrier Reef, and the paradise rainforests of Queensland are just some of the places that will take your breath away. Consider these other natural wonders for your Australian bucket list as we are sure you won’t be disappointed with any of them.
#3: The beaches
With 25,760 kilometres of coastline, there are plenty of beaches to choose from, no matter where you are in Australia. Book a stay in one of these Hamilton Island apartments and visit the beautiful beaches around the Whitsunday Islands. Or find accommodation in Sydney and enjoy the sweeping white sands of Bondi Beach, one of Australia’s top surfing destinations. Or consider any of these other top-rated beaches when choosing where to stay in the land down under. You are spoiled for choice, whether you’re looking for somewhere quiet and secluded to relax or if you’re looking for a beach that is more social and active.
#4: The tourist attractions
The beaches and other areas of natural beauty are undoubtedly big draws for tourists but there is much more to see when you’re travelling around Australia. The Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge are two highlights if you’re staying in New South Wales. There are lots of national parks that attract thousands of visitors every year, including Kakadu National Park and Blue Mountains National Park, which are ideal for wilderness adventures. And for more ideas of places to visit, check out these other popular Australian tourist attractions. You won’t get time to see all of them as Australia is far too big a place to explore in one visit, but consider what you would like to see before settling on a place to stay.
These are just some of the reasons to consider an Australian vacation so if we have piqued your interest, continue your research online for other things to see and do while in this incredible country.
